Movie review: Gridiron Gang by: James
Gridiron Gang is about a group of teenage boys who are in a detention center. Despite all of the stereotyping that they face the staff there turn them into a fully functioning football team. At first it is hard for them to find opponents to play, but eventually the high school teams start warming up to the idea and play against them. Throughout the movie you see a drastic change in all of the boys and they change from enemies to teammates. I believe that this is a very good motivational movie. I believe that it is defiantly worth watching. I give it four out of five stars.

Movie Review By Nico On one of my home visits, I went and saw the movie 21 Jump Street with my step-dad. It stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. It’s about two deadbeat cops who go on a special assignment as undercover officers who go in as students at a high school. This is the funniest movie I’ve seen in a long time. There are a lot of action scenes in this movie too. In one of the car chase scenes, anything you would expect to explode wouldn’t. But instead a truck full of chickens does. This movie is very inappropriate, but that’s one of the main reasons I liked it so much.
Music Review Many people say Tupac is the best, but Biggie Smalls is by far the Illest. He’s got the best flow, fluency and better vocabulary. He has always had a better style and beat to get it bumpin. There will never be another rapper better than him or even as good as him. He has had many set backs with gangs and drugs but still was successful. It was unfortunate when he passed because people like him, with his skill, are hard to come by…..R.I.P. B.I.G. : Saxton

I’m going to do my music review on my favorite rapper of all time. His name is Tech N9ne!!! I have been listening to Tech since I was in the 5th grade. The song that I’ma chose by him is called “Black Boy”. It features Ice Cube, Brother J, and Big Krizz Kaliko. In the song they talk about pretty much what it’s like being black in a white person’s society. They talk about how as kids their teachers and other people told them that when they grew up they wouldn’t have no money or be nothing at all. They also say how they came from nothing and switched their life around and became something . I kinda apply it to my life, because as one of the only black kids where I live it gets kind of tough when you're always surrounded by white people who always be hatin and judging you and stuff. So I just listen to this song and think that I’ma hella proud to be a BlackBoy. I give this song 5 out of 5 stars!! J- Brenner L.

I saw the movie Contraband it was a blockbuster movie. The movie is an action packed and a heart racing movie with a lot of good scenes. The main actor in the movie is Mark Walberg, this was one of the best movies he has played in. The movie takes place in Panama City. Mark Walberg's brother-in-law loses a lot of contraband to a thug and is going to get it if he doesn’t get it back. The movie is on blue ray and D.V.D you should go check it out.

But it’s really easy, because I was in the Artec boys AnD. It was way harder over there. Even though I have been here for a long time, I finally started trying and am getting out for the summer and I can’t wait to kick it with the girls and friends and family. Some staff her are lame and mean, but you just need to know how to ignore them. And you get in trouble for lots of little stupid things so it’s really whack over here.

Grand Theft Auto IV.
I like the story mode to game. It starts out with a man from a foreign country named Niko Bellic. He comes to America, because of all the good stories that his cousin tells him. He meets up with his cousin and realizes it was all a lie. What I like is that in the story mode you get to choose who’s side you want to be on throughout the game. What I don’t like is that there really isn’t a variety of places that you can go to. It reminds me of the real world kind of, because you can be a good citizen and blend in with all the civilians or you can be a bad citizen and go crazy.

The Lovely Bones I recently read a book called The Lovely bones. I thought it was a really good book. I got really into this book. After I read the book I watched the movie and I thought the book was a lot better. It told a lot more detail and all in all was just better. But after I watched the movie I was all creeped out. I was lying in my bed trying to sleep and I kept hearing noises. My roommate was sleeping and I could hear her breathing hard. I was way creeped out! I recommend you read this book, it is very sad, but really good. Lol it’s the first book I have ever finished and I’m pretty happy I did.

Current Events I (Kayla) graduate Artec in 2 weeks. I have been here for 4 months. I got here January 11th 2012 and I graduate May 16th 2012 :) I have learned a lot since I have been here but most importantly I have changed a lot since I have been here. Things are going to be a lot different when I go home, I have 2 grandparents I need to take care of they are the most important people in my life and I can’t wait to go home to them! Well, my time here in ARTEC is OVER!!! I graduate on the 15th of May, and I’m so excited. Ive learned a lot being here so far. Many skills to help me on the outs. I’m pretty darn sure they’ll help me. Haha (: I’ve been here since January 24, 12. One whole year has already passed me by, and I’m not letting that happen anymore. I will be a free soul. Never again will I get locked up, it’s so not worth my time. Once I get out I’m planning on heading over to Artec Day Treatment (sadly) and staying clean … I’ve learned my lesson.
